Six cattle die in Lalbazar fire incident

Srinagar, Feb 18: At least six cattles died in a fire incident in Botshah mohalla area of Lalbazar Srinagar on Saturday evening.

Reports said that a fire broke out in the cattle shed owned by Syed Mehraj Din Shah resident of Ganz Bagh Lal Bazar, resulting into death of an Ox, two cows, and three calves.

An F&ES official told Asian News Hub that a cowshed made of a single GCI sheet was involved in a fire, and the cause is under investigation. The cowshed suffered severe damage in the fire, located 6 kilometers away from F&ES Hazratbal. Unfortunately, one ox, two cows, and three calves died due to suffocation before the arrival of Fire and Emergency Services.

However, the owner of the cattle shed, Syed Mehraj Din Shah, alleged foul play behind the fire incident.

Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident.
