A lady was rescued after she allegedly jumped into river Jhelum at New Zainakadal Bridge in downtown area of Srinagar on Saturday morning.

Reports reaching Asian News Hub (ANH), said that an old aged lady name (withheld) resident of Kailashpora allegedly tried to end her life by jumping into river jhelum at New Zainakadal bridge this morning.
They said after the incident locals rushed towards her and was immediately rescued.
The lady has been shifted to SMHS hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident.
