Budgam, April 02: Authorities on Tuesday shot dead the leopard, believed to be behind the killing of two minor girls in two separate attacks in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Quoting an official news agency Kashmir Scroll reported that after receiving directions from Deputy Commissioner Akshay Labroo in the backdrop of the recent incident, the authorities laid traps and made all possible efforts to neutralize the ferocious beast.
“After several days of wait, the Jammu and Kashmir Police killed the leopard at Social-forestry Nursery in Samsan village in Khansahib Budgam,” said the official.
The now dead leopard struck multiple times in March month, claiming lives of two minor girls and injuring a minor boy in Samsan and Hariwani villages.
