Srinagar, Jan 07: Two more Palestinian journalists have been martyred in Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, bringing the total number of journalists killed by the Israeli regime to 109 since October 7, IRNA reported citing Palestinian Government Media Office.
In a statement cited by IRNA on Sunday, the media office identified the two martyred journalists as Hamza Wael Al-Dahdouh, the son of Al Jazeera’s Gaza bureau chief, and Mustafa Thuraya.
They were killed when an Israeli bombing targeted their vehicle in Khan Yunis in southern Gaza while they were on the move for news coverage.
The media office expressed condolences to the Palestinian news community and strongly condemned the terrorist act.
It said the relentless Israeli attacks against journalists aimed to instill fear among them and hinder news reporting from Gaza.
It further called upon all media unions and organizations, and legal entities to exert pressure on the Israeli regime to stop the genocide against the defenseless people in Gaza.
