Kulgam, Jan 04: Militants, who were trapped in an encounter with security forces last evening in Hadigam village of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, may have escaped, official sources said on Thursday.
Sources told that following an input about the presence of militants in Hadigam village a cordon-and-search operation was launched.
They said there was brief exchange of gunfire between militants and security forces and due to darkness the operation was suspended for night.
