On Monday, a heart-wrenching incident unfolded in the north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, where a courageous woman gave birth to quadruplets. This extraordinary event, however, was marked by a mixture of joy and tragedy, as three of the newborns tragically lost their lives shortly after their birth.
The four newborns, consisting of three boys and one girl, were born prematurely and underweight in 28th week of the pregnancy. This early arrival made their already delicate situation even more challenging, as premature babies often require intensive medical care to thrive.
The woman, who exhibited incredible strength throughout her pregnancy, began experiencing labor pains. Recognizing the urgency and complexity of the situation, she was referred from the Primary Health Center (PHC) in Keran to the Sub-District Hospital (SDH) in Kupwara for immediate medical attention.
