Nottinghamshire pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi was at his brutal best once again, picking as many as four wickets in the first over of Warwickshire innings on Friday.
Chasing a 169-run target, Warwickshire were four down for seven runs after the sensational first over from Afridi. After giving five wides on the first delivery, the Pakistan star reloaded to trap Alex Davies in front of the stumps on the first legal delivery. On the next delivery, He clean bowled Chris Benjamin for a golden duck.
Dan Mousley denied Afridi a hat-trick chance but got out on the fifth delivery as Afridi picked his third wicket of the over. On the final delivery, Shaheen Afridi cleaned the stumps of Ed Barnard to finish the first over with four wickets for seven runs.

However, Afridi failed to take any wicket further in the match and finished with figures of 04 for 29 in four overs. Opener Robert Yates scored 65 off 46 balls to guide Warwickshire to a two-wicket win with five balls to spare.
The win was Warwickshire’s 10th in 13 matches this season. They are leading the 9-team North Group with 20 points, five more than second and third placed Lancashire and Worcestershire respectively. They are certain of a place in the quarter-finals.
