Srinagar, Jan 25: Virat Kohli, the spine of India’s batting, won the ICC ODI Player of the Year award for the fourth time on Thursday.
The international cricket governing body recognized Virat’s record-breaking and match-winning performance during the World Cup 2023. Kohli had previously won this prestigious award in 2012, 2017, and 2018.
Virat Kohli, who has become a synonym for records in cricket, is the first-ever cricket to clinch this award four times. Earlier, South Africa’s batting sensation AB de Villiers held the record for the most number of ICC ODI Player awards with three trophies.
