A Family of a woman from Dorus village of Lolab in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Wednesday accused the in-laws of their daughter’s murder in Zachaldara area of Handwara in north Kashmir.

“Yesterday late last night, my sister name (withheld), was brutally thrashed by her in-laws including her husband and left her critically injured following which she was referred to SKIMS hospital Srinagar where she succumbed,” brother of deceased told the Kashmir news Service (KNS).
He alleged that the victim was allegedly murdered by her in-laws and her husband as she was being harassed for money of her father. He also urges police to arrest all those involved in the alleged murder of his sister.

Quoting a senior police officer KNS said that the investigation is on to ascertain the actual cause of the woman’s death as we are waiting for the autopsy report while the husband of victim is absconding.
However, police is in search of and hopefully, he will be arrested soon.
