Preparing files to trap big fish involved in WAQF encroachments: Dr Darakshan Andrabi
Says white paper on Waqf encroachments to be made public in April next year

Waqf Board Chairperson, Darakshan Andrabi on Wednesday said the white paper about encroachments of Waqf property will be made public in April next year.
Talking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Andrabi said files are being prepared to trap big and the white paper will be made public when Waqf day will be observed in April next year.
She said Waqf day will be observed on the day when board was re-constituted last year.

Andrabi further said six months have elapsed since the new Waqf Board assumed charge and one year will be completed in April. “We are just removing the dust from files so far and have taken some steps that will be completed one by one.”
She added concrete steps for Waqf will be taken shortly and big fish involved in encroachments will be trapped.
Also visits BB Cantt Hospital to enquire about injured Police official
The Director General of Police, J&K, R R Swain paid a solemn visit to the home of the martyr Inspector Masroor Ahmad Wani in Srinagar this evening and expressed deep condolences and shared grief with the bereaved family.
DGP was accompanied by ADGP Law and Order Vijay Kumar, IG Kashmir V. K. Birdi and other officers to share the grief of the family, according to statement issued to Asian News Hub.
The DGP met the father and other members of the family and conveyed that J&K Police family will remember the supreme sacrifice of the martyr for decades to come. He assured that the institutional strength of J&K Police will take care of the family.
The DGP J&K conveyed the unwavering support and gratitude of the entire law enforcement community for the ultimate sacrifice made by the martyr.
He alongwith the officers prayed for the peace of martyr.
R R Swain along with other officers also visited Military Hospital BB Cantt. Srinagar to enquire about the health of the injured Police Selection Grade Constable Mohammad Hafeez who was fired upon by terrorist yesterday evening on his right arm and right side abdomen.
The DGP met the doctors treating the official and impressed for all possible treatment for his early recovery. He assured the injured that all possible help and assistance will be provided.
A government teacher died of suspected cardiac arrest while dispensing duties during JKSSB’s Panchayat Secretary examination in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Sunday.
Quoting officials news agency Kashmir Scroll reported that Mushtaq Ahmad Dar, son of Abdul Khaliq Dar, a resident of Nanil, posted at Boys Middle School Muniwar Anantnag, fell unconscious while on duty at Al-Sarwat School Krangsoo.

The teacher was immediately taken to DH Anantnag, where the doctors declared him as brought dead on arrival.

Insha attributes her success to her mentor, Junaid Bhat Photographer, Kashmir Based Photojournalist, acknowledging him as her guide who played a crucial role in her learning journey. Insha Manzoor is not just a photographer; she’s a visionary capturing the essence of Sopore through her lens, breaking stereotypesand pavingthe way for aspiring photographers in the region.
