Srinagar, Sept 02: A non-local was injured after suspected militants fired upon him in Ugergund area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday morning, offcials said.

A top police officer told GNS that militants shot and injured a non-local in Ugergund.
He was shifted to nearby hospital for treatment, where his condition is stated to be stable, the officer added.
As per the preliminary report he has been identified as Muneeb Ul Rehman son of Abdul Kabo resident of West Bengal.
Soon after the attack whole area has been cordoned to nab the attackers.
“Terrorists fired upon one outside labourer Muneerul Islam S/O Abdul Karim R/O West Bengal at Ugergund Newa in Pulwama. He has been shifted to district hospital Pulwama where his condition is stated to be stable. Area cordoned off. Further details shall follow,” Kashmir Zone Police tweeted.
