Srinagar, April 27: A lady drowned to death in Vailoo Kokernag area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday.
Quoting an official news agency Kashmir Scroll reported that a lady identified as Shahnaza Begum (40), wife of Showkat Ahmad Pathan, of Pindubal Vailoo drowned in Brengi Nallah at Pindubal Vailoo.
They said her body was fished out and brought to SDH Kokernag where doctors declared her brought dead on arrival.
BMO Larnoo while confirming the death of the lady and said the lady is presently at SDH Kokernag and will be handed over to family after legal formalities.
Meanwhile police have taken cognizance of the incident and started an investigation.
