Srinagar, Sept 03: A migrant labourer drowned to death in river Jehlum in Pulwama district on Saturday morning.

Reports reaching The Asian News Hub (ANH) said that a labourer identified as Mohammad Adil (19) resident of Bihar drowned in river Jehlum while extracting sand from river Jehlum at Badripora area of Pulwama district.
They said after the incident a rescue operation was launched by SDRF to retrieve his body.

After hectic efforts, the body was retrieved from river Jehlum this afternoon, reports added.
Meanwhile Police has taken cognizance of the incident and shifted body to hospital for medico-legal formalities.
