S.J.M Gillani-IPS ADGP Armed J&K (in uniform) reviewing the arrangements in connection with forthcoming U.T Level Independence Day Parade at S.K Cricket Stadium on August 11, 2022
Srinagar Aug 11: S.J.M. Gillani-IPS Additional Director General of Police Armed J&K, visited S.K Cricket Stadium Srinagar today to review the security and other related arrangements in and around the venue where UT level Independence Day Parade is going to be held on 15th August, 2022 as the Nation is celebrating “75th Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.”

Officers of the Civil and Police Administration including Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Executive Engineer, PC Division 2nd Srinagar, Dy. Inspector General of Police AP/IR Kashmir, Nodal Officer Parade and other Commandants of JKAP-5th Bn, JKAP 9th Bn., JKAP-12th Bn., IRP-6th Bn. besides representatives from security and traffic wings were also present on the occasion.
The parade contingents participating in the UT Level Independence Parade include contingents from J&K Police, J&K Armed Police, CRPF, BSF, ITBP, SSB, SDRF, FPF, Fire and Emergency Services, NCC Cadets, Children of Govt. and Police Public School, Pipe Band/ Brass Band of J&K Police and other Para Military Forces.

During the visit the ADGP Armed also convened and chaired the meeting of representatives of all the stake holders responsible for making different arrangements in connection with celebration of U.T Level 75th Independence Day function at S.K Cricket Stadium Srinagar.
During the meeting the ADGP was briefed by the concerned representatives about the preparation made in their respective assignments in detail.
The ADGP also conducted the inspection of parade contingents in terms of their practice for the parade on the occasion. He issued necessary instructions to the parade commander regarding further improvement in parade drill and turn out of the parade contingents.
Further preparation with regard to maintenance, seating arrangements, decoration and upkeep of the venue for Independence Day parade were also reviewed by the ADGP. He issued necessary instructions to the concerned officers on spot for immediate action.
