Bengaluru, Feb 08 (ANH): Ahead of the Karnataka High Court hearing a batch of petitions pertaining to hijab row, protests on Tuesday intensified across districts in Karnataka.
The protests are being staged in Belagavi, Dharwad, Haveri, Gadag and Bagalkot. Classes were suspended in some parts of Karnataka after some students arrived on campuses wearing hijabs and saffron scarves, UNI reported.
They wore hijab and saffron scarves despite the state government banning hijab and saffron scarves on campuses, through a circular.
