(Asian News Hub) – Under the Srinagar smart city project, students of School of Architecture of University of Kashmir (KU) and Department of Architecture of Islamic University of School and Technology (IUST) on Friday took part in the painting place marathon.

The paint-marathon was conducted outside the Sher-e-Kashmir (SK) Park by the artists and students of Islamic University of Science and technology (IUST) and School of Architecture, Ganderbal.
One of the artists, Fareeha, a student from School of Architecture told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that, “Place making intervention marathons were carried out here at SK Park with the help of students and artists. Smart City Project officers are also present at the site for the work.”
She said that in this place, making an intervention marathon is meant to beautify the place.

“The initiative is carried out to bring transformation and bring vibrancy back to the city,” she said.
Meanwhile, the officials of Srinagar Smart City project on the occasion said that there were many major projects for the smartening of the city.
He said, “Another road painting event will take place soon in Jehangir Chowk and the main purpose of the painting is to beautify the Srinagar city.”
