A woman died after hit by vehicle near Naqshband Sahib Shrine in downtown area of Srinagar on Wednesday afternoon, meanwhile police have arrested the accused driver and vehicle has been siezed.
An official told Asian News Hub (ANH) said that a woman identified as Shaheena Shabir wife of Shabir Ahmad Mir resident of Anzimar Khanyar died on spot after hit by Ignis vehicle near Naqshband Sahib shrine in downtown this afternoon.
He said that soon after the incident the body of woman was shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities.
Meanwhile police have registered a case in this regard and have arrested the accused driver identified as Altaf Ahmad Sheikh resident of Pandan Nowhatta and vehicle has also been siezed, he said.
