Baramulla police on Thursday said to have arrested two eve-teasers for harrassing a girl at Zanana Park in Khawajabagh area of Baramulla district.

In a statement issued to Asian News Hub (ANH), a police spokesman said, Police Station Baramullla received a written complaint from one person (name withheld) to the effect that two persons namely Aqib Salam Bhat @ Ponty S/O Abdul Salam Bhat and Yasir Ahmad Bhat S/O Fayaz Ahmad Bhat both residents of Fatehpora Baramulla molested one girl (name withheld) at Zanana Park Khawajabagh and fled from the spot after the commission of crime.
He said, acting upon the complaint, Police registered a case FIR under relevant sections in Police Station Baramulla and investigation was started.
Baramulla Police led by Inspr Vilayat Hussain SHO PS Baramulla under the supervision of Altaf Ahmad-JKPS, DySP Hqrs Baramulla arrested both eve-teasers after strenuous efforts and were taken into custody immediately, he said.
He said that further investigation of the case is going on.
