Srinagar, Mar 23: A woman died, and another was injured in a road accident in the Chanapora area of Srinagar on Saturday evening.
Reports said that two women were hit by a vehicle in Chanapora, leaving them critically injured. Both were rushed to B&J Hospital for treatment and later shifted to SMHS Hospital for advanced care.
However, one of the victims, identified as Haleema Begum, wife of Abdul Majeed, a resident of Gulberg Colony, Barzulla, succumbed to her injuries. The other woman, identified as Rubi, is undergoing treatment.

Meanwhile, police have registered a case under FIR 10/25, under section 281,125 (A) BNS in police station Chanapora and initiated further investigations.
