Baramulla police on Wednesday said to have arrested two female Drug Peddlers and recovered 113 grams of contraband Charas like substance from their possession at Chellan Boniyar during naka checking.

In a statement to Asian News Hub (ANH), a police spokesman said that the police under the supervision of Shokat Ali-JKPS, SDPO Uri assisted by DySP Prob. Kubra Nazir, SHO PS Boniyar arrested two female Drug Peddlers namely Fahmeeda D/O Mohammad Subhan Ahanger R/O Limber & Nazira Begum W/O Shabir Ahmad Raja R/O Bimyar during naka checking at Chellan Boniyar who were coming from Bimyar towards Chellan and upon seeing the naka party tried to flee from the spot but were apprehended tactfully.

He said, during their personal search 113 grams of contraband Charas like substance was recovered from them and were taken into custody immediately.

Case under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Boniyar and investigations set in motion.
General People of the area hailed the efforts of Baramulla Police and showed their willingness to support police to eradicate menace of drugs from the society which is the real sign of Police Public relationships, he added.
