Sopore Police Organises Awareness Programme on Cyber-Crimes, Women Rights and New Criminal Laws

Sopore, Nov 17: Police in Sopore organized an awareness programme at Government Women’s Degree College Sopore, aimed at educating students about the latest cyber threats, women rights, drug menace and new criminal laws.

The event focused on raising awareness about online safety, social media security, and the prevention of cybercrimes such as job fraud, matrimonial fraud, and identity theft. The speakers also spoke on the topics of crime against women and the audience were also given awareness about Drug menace in the society and new criminal laws & their implementation.

SP Sopore Divya D-IPS, graced the occasion as the chief guest. A series of informative lectures were delivered by a distinguished panel of experts, including Senior Public Prosecutor Mirza Zahid and Chief Judicial Magistrate of Sopore Subeena Cheloo, Principal of GDC Women’s Sopore and SHO PS Sopore. Additional speakers included Prosecuting officers, Professors and Mushtaq Ahmad, In-Charge Cyber Cell PD Sopore.
