A man died after allegedly committing suicide by jumping into the river Jehlum, near Abdullah Bridge, Rajbagh area of Srinagar on Friday morning.

An official told Asian News Hub (ANH) that a 35-year-old man name (with held) resident of Pampore, presently living at Sari Bala Srinagar, ended his life by jumping into river Jehlum, near Rajbagh.
Soon after the incident a team of River Police Srinagar and SDRF swung into action and retrieved the body within no time, he said.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and further investigation is on in this regard.
