The “Eat Right Campuses” certification is part of the Eat Right India initiative launched by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) with the aim of promoting healthy eating habits and reducing the burden of lifestyle-related diseases.

By receiving this certification, the university has set a high standard for other educational institutions in the region to follow.

Notably, Pathway Catering Services Private Limited, headed by Director Khawaja Itrat, is the current food service provider for the four hostels students at the University.

In response to the university being awarded the “Eat Right Campuses” certification, Khawaja Itrat said, “We are honored to be a part of the university’s journey towards promoting healthy eating habits among its students. As the food service provider, we will continue to prioritize the nutritional value and hygiene of the meals served on campus.”

“Our team has worked tirelessly to ensure that the meals served on campus meet the highest standards of hygiene and nutrition,” he said.

Students at the university have also expressed their excitement at this development. Aakash one of the students remarked, “It’s great to know that the food we are eating is not only tasty but also good for our health. We appreciate the efforts of the university and the catering company to provide us with nutritious meals.”

Sajad Ahmad another student added, “This certification shows that the university cares about our well-being and is committed to creating a healthy environment for us to learn and grow.”

An official expressed his delight and appreciation, stating, “This is a proud moment for our university. We are thrilled to have received this certification and are grateful to the Food Safety department for recognizing our efforts to provide nutritious meals to our students”.
