Justice V.K. Chatterjee overturned Hyderi’s detention under the PSA, as confirmed by his counsel, advocate Mohammad Yousuf Bhat, to PTI.

Hyderi was taken into custody in September 2023 on allegations of extortion and defamation. He was subsequently booked under the PSA and imprisoned in Kot Bhalwal Jail.
