Srinagar, Mar 19: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has constituted a committee to examine issues related to the regularization of casual, seasonal labourers, and other workers in the Union Territory.
As per Government Order No. 384-JK(GAD) of 2025, the committee will be chaired by the Chief Secretary and will include the Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister and Administrative Secretaries from the Finance, General Administration, Planning Development and Monitoring, and Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs departments.
The committee has been tasked with reviewing humanitarian, legal, and financial aspects of regularizing these workers and suggesting a comprehensive way forward. It has been directed to submit its report within six months.
