Srinagar, Sept 12: The Jammu and Kashmir government has approved ₹124.83 crore to upgrade health infrastructure across the Union Territory, Health Minister Sakina Itoo announced on X.
The funds will be used to install a CT Scan at GMC Jammu, MRI machines at GMC Baramulla, GMC Kathua and GMC Rajouri, and a Cath Lab at GMC Doda. GMC Srinagar will also get a PET Scan facility.
In addition, 80 new telemedicine units will be set up to strengthen healthcare access in far-flung areas.

The minister said the move delivers on the assurance given by the Chief Minister during the recent Budget Speech.
