As the language of the majority of the people, Kashmiri is a vital part of our cultural identity and an official language of the state. Its inclusion at the 10+2 level would promote our cultural heritage, provide opportunities for students to learn and appreciate their mother tongue, and help preserve the rich literary and cultural traditions of Kashmir, AMK said in a statement to Asian News Hub.

Adbee Markaz Kamraz urges the concerned authorities to consider the significance of Kashmiri language and include it in their recommendations for introduction at the 10+2 level.

In a detailed letter, AMK President M. Amin Bhat has impressed upon all CEOs to appreciate the importance of the matter and take necessary steps to ensure the inclusion of Kashmiri language as a subject at the 10+2 level, thereby promoting and preserving the cultural heritage of Jammu and Kashmir, the statement reads.
