Srinagar, April 12: An earthquake of magnitude 5.8 struck Pakistan on Saturday afternoon, with tremors strongly felt across parts of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the National Center for Seismology, the quake occurred at 13:00:55 IST, with its epicenter located at latitude 33.63°N and longitude 72.46°E, at a depth of 10 kilometers.
The tremors triggered panic among residents in Kashmir, who rushed out of their homes and offices.
No immediate reports of damage or casualties have been received from the region so far.
