New Delhi, Nov 30: A father’s unconditional love has given a new life to 21-year-old social media influencer Cuty Mendiratta, who recently recovered after receiving a life-saving kidney from her father.
Cutie’s health issues began with a urine infection, which later damaged her kidneys. Her kidney function dropped to 40%, and she was soon diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. When doctors confirmed that both kidneys had failed, her life changed completely as she began dialysis and stepped away from social media.
During this difficult period, her father Yogesh Mendiratta became her strongest support. When doctors suggested a transplant, he immediately offered to donate his kidney. “If one kidney can help her live and follow her dreams again, I am ready,” he said.

The transplant, performed a few months ago at Park Hospital, Sector 47, marked a major turning point. The surgery team included Dr. Surjeet Kumar, Dr. Mohit Khirbat, and Dr. Vaseem Shaikh.
“Seeing Cutie recover reminds us why this work matters,” said Dr. Surjeet Kumar.
Cutie, now recovering well, says she feels “born again” and hopes her journey will inspire conversations on organ donation and kidney health. She plans to return to social media with a stronger message and renewed purpose. (Agency)
