Handwara, June 22: A two-year-old girl died after allegedly falling into a water tub in the Kralgund area of Handwara on Monday.

According to her mother’s statement, the child accidentally fell into a water tub at her residence and was immediately rushed to Government Medical College (GMC) Handwara for treatment.
However, despite efforts by doctors, the girl was declared dead at the hospital.

The deceased has been identified as Sibra Javid, daughter of Javid Iqbal Lone, a resident of Renin, Kralgund.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated the necessary legal proceedings.
