Shopian, June 22: A boy who had been missing from his home for nearly two weeks was found dead on Monday in Vishow Nallah near Reshinageri in south Kashmir’s Shopian district, officials said.

According to reports, the boy, who was mentally unsound, had been missing from his home since June 9, 2026.
The deceased has been identified as Imran Doiey, son of Mohammad Aslam Doiey and a resident of Sedow.
His body was recovered from Vishow Nallah by locals, following which police were informed. A police team reached the spot and took possession of the body for necessary medico-legal formalities.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated proceedings to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the death.
