Srinagar, June 22: A 35-year-old man died after allegedly suffering an electric shock at his residence in the Rainawari area of the city on Sunday.
According to family, the man sustained an electric shock while at home and was immediately rushed to SMHS Hospital Srinagar in an unconscious and critical condition.

Hospital sources said the patient was brought to the emergency department in a critical state. However, despite medical intervention, he succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

The deceased has been identified as Asif Ahmad Mir, son of Fayaz Ahmad Mir, a resident of Rainawari.
Police have taken cognizance of the matter and initiated the necessary proceedings. (KNT)
