Riyadh, Feb 26: The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia has officially called upon residents to observe the crescent moon of the holy month of Ramadan on the evening of Friday, February 28, 2025 (corresponding to 29 Sha’ban 1446 AH).

The court has urged anyone who sights the crescent—whether with the naked eye or using binoculars—to report their observation to the nearest court and register their testimony. Alternatively, they can contact the closest center to facilitate their testimony submission.

The sighting of the crescent moon will determine the beginning of Ramadan, a sacred month of fasting, prayer, and reflection for Muslims worldwide.
