Srinagar, Aug 07: A 20-year-old youth, Khursheed Ahmed Mir, drowned in a pond at Lachampora, Rajwar in the Handwara area of Kupwara district on Tuesday.
Quoting officials news agency KNC reported that locals and rescue teams were immediately dispatched to the scene to search for his body.
After a coordinated effort between the police team and locals, Mir’s body was retrieved late this evening.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident.
