Ganderbal, Aug 05: A 13-year-old boy died after he drowned in a canal in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district this afternoon.
Quoting an official news agency KNO reported that the boy drowned in the canal while taking a bath in Mongam village of Kangan.
They said soon after the incident, a rescue operation was launched and retrieved the boy from the bab canal. “He was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.”

The deceased boy has been identified as Aqib Ahmad Lone (13) son of Ghulam Qadir Lone of Chattergul, Kangan.
