Srinagar, May 31: A policeman stationed at PCR Srinagar passed away after he suddenly fell unconscious on Thursday late night.
Quoting an official news agency Kashmir Scroll reported that Head Constable Amrik Singh, son of Jaswant Singh, a resident of Jarda Nandpor Samba, posted at the Armed Police Control Room Kashmir, lost consciousness and was promptly taken to the Police Hospital Srinagar for treatment.
They said he was later referred to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for further medical care, where doctors pronounced him dead.

Meanwhile proceedings under section 174 Cr.PC have been initiated.
