Srinagar, April 16: Two woman among four people lost their lives after the boat in which they were crossing the river Jehlum capsized in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district this morning.
Quoting sources news agency Kashmir Scroll reported that a boat carrying a group of people, including students, capsized in the river Jehlum in the Batwara area of Srinagar. However, due to the timely action of the river police and locals, all people were rescued and were immediately taken to a nearby hospital.
In the incident, four people were declared dead, while others are undergoing treatment, they said quoting an official.

The deceased have been identified as Shabir Ahmad (26), Gulzar Ahmad (41) and two females aged around 32 years old.
They said a case in this regard has been registered, and further investigation has been set into motion.
