Sopore, April 15: A son allegedly stabbed his mother to death in dangiwachi area of Rafiabad in Sopore area of north Kashmir during the intervening night.
Official sources told Asian News Hub that a 48-year-old woman identified as Asha Begum, W/o Farooq Ahmed wani, a resident of Hadipora Rafiabad was critically injured after being stabbed with a sharp-edged weapon over some dispute by his own son at home.
They said after the incident, she was brought to SDH Sopore for treatment, where doctors declared her dead.
Police have registered a case under FIR number 28/2024 under relevant sections of law in Dangiwachi police station and accused has been arrested, they said.
