Srinagar, Feb 11: A 35-year-old man died after he came under Chinar branches in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Sunday.
Quoting sources news wgency Kashmir Scroll reported that a man identified as Showkat Ahmad Mir, son of Nazir Ahmad Mir of Zalangam Kokernag, came under the branches of a chinar tree at Lokbawa.
They said he was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
A police officer told news agency Kashmir Scroll that a case in this regard has been registered. He said the deceased was working as a woodcutter. The body is at district hospital Anantnag, and after legal medical formalities, the body will be handed over to the family for last rites, he said.
