Ganderbal, Feb 9: A 27-year-old woman was found dead in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district this afternoon.
Quoting sources news agency Kashmir Scroll reported that a female body was recovered from the Power Canal in Haknar Gund area of Kangan by some locals, who subsequently informed the police.
They said that after reaching the spot, police took the body to a nearby hospital for medical formalities.

Meanwhile, a police officer told news agency Kashmir Scroll that the dead body of a female has been identified as Haseena Begum, an anganwadi worker.
The officer said that a case in this regard has been registered and further investigation has been initiated.
