Baramulla, Jan 31: Seven persons are confirmed to have died and eight others are under treatment at a hospital, in the aftermath of a deadly road accident at Bujhthalan in Boniyar area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district this afternoon.
Quote an official news agency Kashmir Scroll reported that a passenger vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge at Bujthala Boniyar.
“There have been seven casualties in the accident and injuries to at least eight others”, the officials said adding the injured have been taken to hospital for treatment.
The bodies of deceased will be handed over to the families after medico-legal formalities.
The official identified the deceased as; Tahira Begum (35) wife of Reyaz Ahmad Sheikh, Ameena Bano (17) daughter of Abdul Gani Sheikh, Mohd Maqbool Sheikh (70) son of Ahmad Sheikh, Mohd Maqsood Sheikh (35) son of Gh Rasool Sheikh of Bujthalan, Abdul Rehman Lone (60) son of Fatah Lone, Sameena Begum (45) wife of Abdul Hameed Sheikh and Sarwa Begum (55) wife of Late Ghulam Mohd Bakhshi.
“The injured persons are being treated at GMC Baramulla”, the official said further.
