DC Kulgam reviews annual Urs arrangements of sufi saint Hazrat Syed Noor Shah Wali Bagdadi (RA)

Kulgam, Jan 30: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan today chaired a meeting to review arrangements for annual urs of sufi saint Hazrat Syed Noor Shah Saheb Wali Bagdadi (RA).

It was informed that the Urs of the saint will commence from February 01 and shall be observed with reverence at Kund shrine.

The DC directed the officers to ensure uninterrupted power supply, safe drinking water supply, proper sanitation measures besides healthcare facilities and security arrangements at shrine during Urs days.

During the meeting, PDD authorities were directed to ensure repairs of high mast lights besides to keep DG sets available for power back up.

The concerned were asked to keep men and machinery available and in ready mode to clear roads in case of snowfall during these days to ensure hassle-free movement of devotees.

DC stressed upon the officers to work in coordination and to put in place all the requisite arrangements in advance to avoid any inconvenience to the people and smooth celebrations of the Urs.

The meeting was attended by ADDC, Showkat Ahmad Rather; ADC, Viqar Ahmed Giri and other officers besides DDC member Kund, Gulzar Ahmad and members of Auqaf committee also attended the meeting.
