Kanyakumari to Kashmir in 15 days: Female biker embarks on a dream trip to the Valley

A female biker from Karnataka has embarked on a journey to Jammu and Kashmir, riding solo and reaching her destination in just 15 days.

Sharing her travel experience, Chitra Rao said that she reached Srinagar on Thursday.

“People are very nice here. Before coming to Kashmir, I was worried but I find people are very helpful and I would like to thank Kashmiri people,” she added.

She said that it is her first solo road trip and she is enjoying it.

“For me, traveling alone was important because if I would have come in a group, people would think it’s a biker gang roaming around. But when they see a solo female traveler, it is noticeable.”

“I took all the precautions and reached Kashmir safely within 15 days,” she added. KNO

10 held for trying to vitiate peaceful atmosphere outside Jama Masjid after Friday prayers: Police

Srinagar police on Saturday said that they have arrested ten persons for trying to vitiate peaceful atmosphere outside Jama Masjid in Nowhatta after Friday prayers.

They said that they will be booked under relevant sections of law.

Srinagar police on X informed, “10 Hooligans arrested for trying to vitiate peaceful atmosphere outside Jamia Masjid Yesterday after friday prayers. They shall be booked under relevant section of law. Public is requested not to indulge in such acts failing which law will take its own course.”

Mason falls from rooftop of house in Bijbehera, dies

A mason died after he fell down from a rooftop of a house in Zirpora area of Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday.

An official told that Nazir Ahmad Ganai son of Abdul Salam Ganai of Zirpora was doing some work on the roof of the house when he slipped and fell down.

He said that he was immediately rushed to SDH Bijbehara, where he succumbed to injuries. KNO

Biker killed in Anantnag road accident

A biker has died in a road mishap in Ranipora area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday morning.

An official told that a motorcyclist, identified as Muzaffar Ahmad Kuchay, lost control of his bike and skidded off the road, resulting in his death.
