A 10-year-old boy was found dead inside a mosque toilet in Shonglipora area of Noorbagh Srinagar on Tuesday evening.

Reports reaching Asian News Hub (ANH) said that a 10-year-old boy was found hanging inside toilet of a mosque in Shonglipora area this evening.

They said after the incident, locals informed the police, who visited the spot and took the body into their possession.

However, one of the family member of deceased boy while talking to ANH alleged that their beloved has been murdered and demanded fair investigation into the matter.

Meanwhile, body has been taken to SMHS hospital where medico-legal formalities are being conducted.

Srinagar police on Saturday said that they have arrested ten persons for trying to vitiate peaceful atmosphere outside Jama Masjid in Nowhatta after Friday prayers.

They said that they will be booked under relevant sections of law.

Srinagar police on X informed, “10 Hooligans arrested for trying to vitiate peaceful atmosphere outside Jamia Masjid Yesterday after friday prayers. They shall be booked under relevant section of law. Public is requested not to indulge in such acts failing which law will take its own course.”

Mason falls from rooftop of house in Bijbehera, dies

A mason died after he fell down from a rooftop of a house in Zirpora area of Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday.

An official told that Nazir Ahmad Ganai son of Abdul Salam Ganai of Zirpora was doing some work on the roof of the house when he slipped and fell down.
