‘What people faced due to Mpay on Eid eve, will not be repeated’
Jammu & Kashmir Bank’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Baldev Prakash on Tuesday said one lakh youth will be covered under three-month-long self employment campaign, which commenced from today. He also apologized consumers for the obstacle in mobile banking application-Mpay on Eid eve and said that a new platform is coming up soon, which will put an end to the sufferings of people.

Prakash while talking to the Asian news Hub (ANH), said that two major initiatives have been taken today during a meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Dr Arun Kumar Mehta.
He said that one of the initiatives is the self employment campaign for 3 months under which one lakh youth will be provided assistance and the bank will put in extra efforts to make the initiative successful.
He said that the digital banking initiative was also taken up during the meeting and it was directed that the digital percentage should be increased to 95%.
However, asked about Mpay, he said that it is unfortunate that the consumers on this Eid faced hardships, but the necessary steps have been taken in this regard while the app is being renovated completely to ensure the people will not face hardships again.
“What has happened is the past, but a new platform is coming up soon,” he said and apologized to the consumers for their sufferings on Eid eve.
