In a gory incodent, a woman allegedly killed her husband in Rawatpora Baghat area of Srinagar on Saturday evening.

Reports reaching Asian News Hub (ANH) said that Abdul Rashid Dar son of Abdul Kareem Dar of Rawathpora area of Srinagar was critically injured after beaten ruthlessly by his wife.

They said the injured man was immediately taken to nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

Meanwhile, Srinagar Police said that it arrested the accused woman for killing her husband in Rawathpora Baghat.

Informing via a tweet, The Srinagar police tweeted, ” One Accused namely Shaheena begum W/o victim late Abdul Rashid Dar R/o Rawathpora Baghat arrested for killing her husband. FIR no.54/2023 u/s 302 of IPC registered in Sadar PS. Prima facie the crime appears to be done in fit of rage, further investigation is on.”
