An earthquake of magnitude 4.3 and 3.3 on the Richter scale occurred in Katra and Kishtwar area of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, National Center for Seismology said.
They said that the earthquake in Katra occurred at around 02:20:59 IST and around 08:29:34 in Kishtwar.
National Centre for Seismology in a tweet said, “Earthquake of Magnitude:4.3, Occurred on 14-06-2023, 02:20:59 IST, Lat: 33.14 & Long: 75.79, Depth: 10 Km ,Location: 81km ENE of Katra, Jammu and Kashmir.”
In another tweet, they said, “Earthquake of Magnitude:3.3, Occurred on 14-06-2023, 08:29:34 IST, Lat: 33.14 & Long: 75.85, Depth: 5 Km ,Region: Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir, India.”
