Jammu and Kashmir Police chief, Dilbag Singh on Monday said that the number of active militants have reduced as the youth have opted for sports and education in the Union Territory.

Talking to reporters, on the sidelines of All India Police Football Championship at Bakshi Stadium, Director General of Police, said that the count of militants is low in J&K and the count of youth participating in sports has increased.
“The youth are taking part in sports activities and also focussed on their education. In the competitive exams, they are also doing good as well,” he said, as per Asian News Hub (ANH).
He said that they want the peaceful atmosphere to be strengthened further for the youth so that they can go ahead in building their better career.
