Director Fortis Hospital Mohali on Thursday said that the junk and fatty food is among the causes behind ovarian cysts, found in young girls.
Dr. Swapna Misra, Director, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Fortis Mohali, who is also a Robotic Laparoscopic and Cancer Surgeon, told Asian News Hub (ANH) that there is a need to put an end to the junk and fatty food, which is the reason behind the ovarian cysts among the young girls.
“Such an issue was being witnessed in the women above 40 years of age, but due to the junk food, fatty food, and other related things, the disease is being witnessed among young girls as well,” she said.
However, she said that there is no need to go for Uterus removal as a solution is available i.e. Robotic surgery. “It is a procedure through which the cysts are being removed without removing the organ,” she said.
She said that the surgery costs RS 40-45,000 in the government hospitals and upto Rs 1.5 lakh in the private hospitals.
She advised people not to consume junk and fatty food to stay fit and healthy.
