LG Manoj Sinha inaugurates Jio True 5G in J&K

Reliance Jio on Tuesday announced the launch of its True 5G services in Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir by launching its 5G services in Jammu and Srinagar. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha launched Jio True SG services at Raj Bhawan in Jammu.

Commenting on the occasion, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said, “I am delighted to announce the launch of Jio True 5G services in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. 5G will bring transformational benefits for the people of Jammu & Kashmir.

Commenting on the launch, Jio Spokesperson said “We are excited to launch Jio True 5G in Jammu and Srinagar. By December 2023, Jio True 5G will cover every town of Jammu & Kashmir. This is testimony to Jio’s commitment towards the Government’s priorities.

Jio has provided employment to more than 36,000 people directly and indirectly in Jammu & Kashmir. This launch is an important milestone for the people of Jammu & Kashmir Jio who will benefit immensely from Jio’s 5G services, We are grateful to the Goverment for their continuous support in our quest to digitize Jammu & Kashmir.

Additionally, we are happy to announce the launch of Jio True 5G services in 25 additional towns across 12 states in the country, taking the benefits and reach of Jio’s True 5G services to 304 towns across the nation. We want every Jio user to enjoy the transformational benefits of Jio True 5G technology in 2023.”

Starting 28th February 2023, Jio users in Jammu and Srinagar will be invited to the Jio Welcome Offer, to experience Unlimited Data at up to 1 Gbps+ speeds, at no additional cost.

Mason falls from rooftop of house in Bijbehera, dies

A mason died after he fell down from a rooftop of a house in Zirpora area of Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday.

An official told that Nazir Ahmad Ganai son of Abdul Salam Ganai of Zirpora was doing some work on the roof of the house when he slipped and fell down.

He said that he was immediately rushed to SDH Bijbehara, where he succumbed to injuries. KNO

Biker killed in Anantnag road accident

A biker has died in a road mishap in Ranipora area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday morning.

An official told that a motorcyclist, identified as Muzaffar Ahmad Kuchay, lost control of his bike and skidded off the road, resulting in his death.

Couple among 4 dead in Qazigund road accident

Three more persons including couple, who were injured in a road accident in Qazigund area of Kulgam district on Friday morning, succumbed to their injuries, taking the death count to 4.

An official told that a vehicle coming from Srinagar collided with a truck near walnut factory in Qazigund.

He said in the incident driver of the vehicle died at emergency hospital Qazigund and 6 others were injured. “Later, three more persons incliding couple succumbed to their injuries, taking the death count to 4,” he said. KNO
